The Story
Synopsis
The body of an unidentified man found in the forgotten outskirts of Boston seems like a mugging gone wrong. However, when it is discovered that his face and fingerprints are encrypted in the national database, rising uncertainty about who he is and who is responsible forces the FBI to turn to a new partnership in a race against time.
Four years after a tragedy in the field, Special Agent Lance Foley finally returns to Boston to face his own demons, only to find himself thrust into a case with more questions than answers. Cyber agent Gabriela Alvarez, adept at cracking cases from behind a computer, never expected to be called into the field. Thrown together, they must solve the missing man’s identity, relying on both of their unique skillsets, before his killer becomes an untraceable ghost.
A second body raises the stakes, and soon they start to suspect a deeper conspiracy. Building tensions in their partnership and mounting pressure will push Foley and Alvarez to their limits. Each clue, digital and physical, drags them further from John Doe, and soon they find themselves uncovering connections they never expected.

Tonight, if anyone had dared to walk down the street and look down the alley behind the burnt-out lamp, they would have seen only shadows. If they had cast a second glance, they might have glimpsed him. But no one was brave enough to be out at this time of night in this part of the town, let alone cast a second glance down the alley.
He was counting on this fact.
